From the Training Officer's Desk 03/12/2013

This past Commanding Officer's Parade we had the pleasure of recognizing the achievements of our cadets so far.

This year, our cadets have truly undertaken their responsibilities with vigor. I am extremely proud of our cadets and their committment to the squadron. Just in these few months, some of our seniors have gone above-and-beyond the call of duty to make 655 a squadron everyone can be proud of.

FSgt Minnie Ng was recognized for her contributions in helping the Glider and Power Pilot Scholarship applicants by creating an online resource for references and frequently asked questions.

FSgt Eileen Li was recognized for her initiative in leading a team of her peers to create the 655 Richmond Handbook that details tips and tricks for recruits to succeed in the program.

FSgt Calvin Chan was recognized for his dedication to our recruits in helping them familiarize themselves with 655 and creating a welcoming atmosphere.

This CO's parade also recognized promotions to all ranks! I would like to congratulate every one of you and I hope you undertake your new responsibilities with enthusiasm.

On an ending note, I would like this time to thank all the NCOs who have helped to make this early part of the year such a success. Your hard work and dedication have helped our juniors realize what it means to be part of 655... a family.
